Hey ladies and gentlemen!
We are really excited today to bring you a fantastic event we hope that all of you will want to come along to! It's the Headshot gaming tournament held by Gamerbase at HMV (the one in London Trocadero). It will be held on the 18th March (next week) at 4pm.
Since this is a tournament after all, we would like to see some competitiveness, and winners are awarded with such prizes such as the iPod Nano, iPod Shuffle, XBox 360 controller, and HMV Vouchers!
As for admission, you will need to buy tickets beforehand. These are available from a comittee member, and the cost is £6 for members, and £10 for non-members of the UCLU techSociety. Remember, it is £2 to join up to the techSociety, in which you only pay once. If you want tickets, please email techsociety {at} gmail {dot} com for information on how to get tickets.
That is all folks, see you there!

UCLU TechSociety Hello everybody! Welcome to the TechSociety mailing list! It was great to meet you all at Refresher’s Fayre and I hope you had a great time. I am sorry that you are receiving this email rather late, but there has been a lot going on lately. There are a lot of things we planned for the next few weeks! Weekly gaming starts this Thursday at 4pm, in the Computer Science building, with either PC gaming in the 4th floor Computer Lab or console gaming in the Computer Science common room. The PC games we have are Age of Empires 2, Counter-Strike 1.6, Quake 3 Arena, Unreal Tournament, Warcraft 3, Worms Armageddon. The Wii games we have are Mario Kart, Wii sports, Mario and Sonic Olympics, Super Smash Bros. Brawl. We have 4 wiimotes, 4 nunchucks and 4 driving wheels. We really hope to see you all there! PC gaming team tournament at Gamerbase Trocadero (to be announced soon)! There are going to be some great prizes and members have discounted entry fee. Sports: a 5-a-side casual football. The link to our website is http://www.uclutech.com/ . If you want to join TechSociety you need to pay a measly fee of 2 pounds for the rest of the year. You can do that either online (http://www.uclu.org/shop/) or in the Bloomsbury building. There are going to be many more awesome events that you don’t want to miss out on! This is where you can keep up with them: http://www.uclutech.com/events If you want to contact us, you can email techsociety {at} gmail {dot} com or you can email Kamil, the president at fueryon {at} gmail {dot} com (Sorry, we haven't linked them since we get so much spam from these email links) Hope to see you all soon!! Best wishes, The Techsociety committee |
