As mentioned before, Technology is inherently an inter-disciplinary field, and therefore we are not centred on technology but rather we focus on fields that involve technology, which happens to be anything from linguistics to astrophysics to economics. We wish to:
- Introduce students to career opportunities within technology;
- Facilitate interaction between our members and various companies, eg Credit Suisse, Google, etc; and
- Have fun! We have social activities, sports and LAN gaming events which give people a chance to unwind and relax!

Passionate about Technology |
Welcome and thank you for visiting the UCL Union techSociety website. This society is open to people of all backgrounds, studying any degree programme at UCL at a mere cost of £3.00. We serve the purpose of enlightening people into the importance of technology in today's world; reminding people that technology is a magnificent tool which is involved in many fields of expertise and serves the purpose of guiding our species into the future.
Technology is a broad concept that deals with a species' usage and knowledge of tools and crafts, and how it affects a species' ability to control and adapt to its environment. In the human society, it is a consequence of science and engineering, although several technological advances predate the two concepts. A strict definition of the term "Technology" is elusive; It can refer to material objects available to humanity, such as machines, hardware or utensils, but can also encompass broader themes, including systems, methods of organization, and techniques. The term can either be applied generally or to specific areas: examples include "construction technology", "medical technology", or "state-of-the-art technology".
